Guest guest
No secret was found. This was 's opinion, not fact. I have used an ignition coil EMEM very successfully as well as audio speakers, inductive heating pads/blankets, all without an RF component and they all worked well. The frequencies of the CAFL were quite successful in the conditions for which I used them. Fundamental frequencies have harmonics at both ends of a spectrum, not just multiples but lower wavelengths as well. A gentleman with a non-healing scapula used my heating pad with excellent results and mended his fracture after years of re-breaking it. The bone-man commented that the X-ray appeared to be an old injury when in fact, it was only a few months from healing with simple audio frequencies applied with a modulated heating pad. I have removed cataracts with an EMEM plasma tube driven by an ignition coil. No RF, no carrier. was wrong in several areas as well. He said that Timken made ball bearings when in fact he invented the tapered roller bearing which allowed for high speed auto and truck operation. Major mistake in facts! The Crane pad device was an EICO audio generator, not a Heathkit. The so-called audio generators were Kennedy radio reveivers that used the current detection capability at that time which was super-regeneration. A tickler coil would provide a controlled feedback into the primary tank coil to increast current. This crude method was later surpassed by Armstrong's Super-heterodyning oscillator which used a local fixed oscillator (455 Kc for broadcast band operation) and a tuned filter to strip out the local oscillator carrier. The old super-regen receivers would go into self-oscillation if the manual feedback control introduced too much current back into the tank circiut. These receivers were quite sensitive but were difficult to tweak and had a very tinny sound. Superhet cured this problem. disn't discover anything new, he simply pointed out that the sidband frequencies were dependant upon the frequency of the carrier signal. Any fool that knows anything about radio knows this fundamental law. I am not a fan of Mumby either. The show was a waste of time IMO. Caveat Emptor!
