I'm sitting here in disbelief and tears writing this post. As most

of you know, Abby was diagnosed at around 1 1/2 years old with

scoliosis. She started with a 41 degree curve and is now down to 8

degrees in brace. Then when my son Noah was born, at around 3 months

old I noticed he had lumbar Kyphosis and when they did the x-ray they

also discovered an 8 degree curve of scoliosis. Noah is now 14

months and when he was last checked the kyphosis was resolving and

the scoliosis hadn't progressed. Now I am mortified...I noticed over

the weekend that Amelia's tiny little spine has a curve in the lumbar

region. I took her in to her pediatrician the other day for her

reflux acting up and I had her look at Amelia's back and she agreed

there is definately a curve. I just called Boston Childrens

yesterday and have an appointment on May 15...one month away! Her

back actually looks pretty bad to me so I'm going to be calling daily

to see if there are cancellations to get her in sooner or see if

maybe I can at least bring her in for an x-ray before her appointment

if that's something they are willing to do. I'm just beside

myself...all three of them now. Sorry, I just had to vent and I knew

if anyone would understand the hurt and frustration I'm going

through, this group would.

Noah (14 months) &

Amelia (3 months)
