Guest guest
You are so awesome to keep going without the CD, I am so impressed (or as would say, uberimpressed)!! P.S. I did Housework Max for 2 hours today! My routines are sooo messed up (exercise, housework, everything) with DH around, the kids being off school so much (including tomorrow and next Friday) and working a lot more. But, DH went to church while I and the kids took the day off and they wanted to watch a movie in my exercise room so I had the entire main part of the house to myself to clean it with no one interrupting or in the way!! I've never been so thrilled to vacuum in my life! The house is finally much cleaner and I feel much better about that. DD wants me to come to her snowflake sale now (she made a ton of paper snowflakes and is selling them with play money) then she's taking the computer and I'm going to attack another neglected area of my life that needs work to make me feel a lot less stressed... menu planning for at least tonight and the rest of this week! Sunday - Cardio Coach V2, Caribbean Workout Pilates Hi Everyone, Today I hopped on the TM and did Cardio Coach Volume 2. All was going well until my CD player died in the middle of challenge # 2. I thought the disc was scratched, so I tried again - it died again....(long story short, I just needed new batteries!). So I did Challenge # 2 on my own. I got my player to work long enough to hear what to do in Challenge # 3, and did that one solo as well. I ended up cooling down and finishing it up on my own w/out Coach . I am happy I did it - but I missed - the music, the encouragement, etc. My CD player is all fixed now - just needed batteries. I did 5 miles in around 50 minutes (maybe a tad longer). My speeds were 4.5 mph for walking sections, 6-6.5 mph for jogging, and I boosted it up to 7 mph for some of the faster challenges. Overall, it felt comfortable and my back and legs handled it all well. I would really like to thow in some incline work (as I think that would help me to train to run outdoors, but I have to be careful w/ it since incline work hurts my back). After that I did Caribbean workout Core Pilates- legs and core section. Good exercises to strengthen and stretch the lower body. I always like doing lower body Pilates work after a run/walk. Tomorrow I may give Voight's Burn & Firm Circuit workout a go and add on some Essentrics. I have the day off! Yay! Hope everyone has a good day. Guest guest
Hi !I hear you on the routines being messed up - I work in the office 3X per week, but I really like having the two days a week where i work at home to "myself" (even though I have to do work for my job, I also manage to get some housework and laundry in too - sort of as mental health breaks) - last week we had a snow day that threw my whole day off. I'm also not sure what I'd do if DH was around all the time, either! I'd be totally messed up for sure. We all have our routines that make things run smoother and when they get messed up it makes us feel "off" for sure. Hang in there!Donna (who really *should* get going on more decluttering projects, but I can't bring myself to just yet - maybe tomorrow????) Guest guest
You're so sweet, Donna! I need to some more decluttering too. Was going gung ho then stopped. BUT I did manage to do my menu plan for this week and I think I have next week mapped out well too. Turned out doing 2 weeks was easy because I kept finding recipes I wanted to make but didn't have the ingredients for and I am NOT going to the grocery store again until my regular shopping day (Fridays for now but probably Saturday this week, that's another thing that has been fluctuating too, as my schedule changes). I just put the recipes I needed an ingredient or two for on next week's list. That should help. Tomorrow, my day off, I'm hoping to do some cooking in advance. I'm working 10 meetings next week (and every week, it will be 13 starting at the end of the month though, for two months while I sub for a leader who is going to Florida for the winter) and anything I can do in advance will help me be less stressed and probably work out more too. Who knows, maybe I'll even find time to declutter more?! :-) (off to make dinner for tonight at least) Sunday - Cardio Coach V2, Caribbean Workout Pilates Hi Everyone, Today I hopped on the TM and did Cardio Coach Volume 2. Guest guest
Wow, how impressive. I bet my back wishes you were its owner! LOL...Great job Donna. Mine has been a bit tight lately too, but I'm just stretching a wee bit more, and pretending it's fine.. LOL.. which it is, for the most part, just feels tight! Darcy Hi Jen, My back has been doing well (knock wood!) for the past week or two - yay! My chiro even noticed. I do stretches every day for it - mostly my routine is (all done on the floor, laying on my back)- knee to chest reclined hamstring figure 4 hip stretch reclined cobblers pose then I get up and do lunges (from yoga, to stretch my hip flexors which are tight) and I have also been doing quadricep stretches since my quads have been getting tight from walking and running. I do these at least twice a day (before and after my workouts) Hope you hare having a good day!Donna From: Donna M-P <donna112520@ yahoo.com>Subject: Sunday - Cardio Coach V2, Caribbean Workout Pilates To: exercisevideos@ yahoogroups. com, " fitnbusy moms " <fitnbusymoms@ yahoogroups. com>, FitFirmies@yahoogro ups.comDate: Sunday, January 18, 2009, 2:10 PM Hi Everyone, Today I hopped on the TM and did Cardio Coach Volume 2. Guest guest
Hi Donna, yes I've had a pretty good day today. That's good you are stretching so much that should help it a lot! I wish my mom would do something for her neck, it's been hurting her. She's stubborn so I give up with her LOL Are you jealous of and I doing CLX together yet? I wish we could all get together and workout or go for a long walk/hike, that would be FUN!
