Guest guest
This article summarizes a recent publication linking genes and their brain function to autistic behavior. We know that a number of genes are linked by association to autism. However, scientists still do not know what some of these genes do to nerve cell function. Here is a step for understanding a genetic change seen in 0.5%. More importantly, for the other 99.5%, it shows the deliberate (albeit painfully slow for each parent/child) process that scientists are taking to understanding some of these genes. http://www.reuters.com/article/pressRelease/idUS135236+12-Oct-2009+BW20091012 Josh Rotenberg MD Houston, TX www.neurosleep.org
