Guest guest
Hi , I followed the schools programmw in conjuntion with a local osteopath who was trained, we were given exercises every 4-6 weeks. He did an initial assessment at the begininng and one at the end. Both my children did it at the same time - my son was 6 and my daughter was 5. It worked really well them doing the exercises together. My daughter still had alot of retained reflexes at the end of the programme, so I found a lady who was fully trained and who could implement a much more detailed programme, taking her back to movements that she should have done in the womb. The schools programme takes about a year, the more detailed programme took about 2 years. My son's co-ordination improved so that he has no issues now, he couldn't use a knife & fork, but, could afterwards, his writing improved - however, to really impact his writing he should have been taught to write again - this has never happened unfortunately - schools don't do this sort of thing! He could get dressed much more easily, could do up buttons and zips etc, he matured emotionally, he gained bowel control and sorted his bladder control. He was supposed to do vision therapy, but, at the end of the programme he was found to have no issues with his eyes. He had tactile defensiveness - this all disappeared together with other sensory issues. He was able to swim much better and became a good swimmer. I could go on! We did TLP at the same time, the two together were really profound in their effect. For my daughter who had much more severe issues, the biggest effect was on her eyes. Before INPP she had no independent eye movements from her head and was due for extensive vision therapy - after the programme there were virtually no issues with her eyes - it was just amazing watching her being able tomove her eyes independently. Even the optometrist was impressed - he knew that it was all down to the neck reflexes. HTH x > > > Hi > > I would be interested to hear more about your experience with INPP. What areas do you think it impacted. > > Thanks > >
Guest guest
Thanks . Their progress is really encouraging. I am currently halfway through training as an INPP practiioner as I think working on the reflexes has great potential and is an area that hasn't been fully explored in the field of autism. Am I right in thinking you provide Fast forward programmes? Would you mind letting me know what you think about the respective strengths of the listening programme/johansen/fast forward etc, particularly in respect of how you might implement them, bearing in mind developmental order. Thanks
Guest guest
Hi , In an ideal world I would do TST, INPP, TLP and or Johanssen or other sound therapy and then Fast ForWord. Following this up with Learning Breakthrough as a top up and continuing with TLP every year or so also as a top up. All forms of sound therapy as far as I am aware work really well with a movement programme - and their combined effects are enhanced. Even more ideally I would start as young as possible with all of this, add in the biomedical interventions and we could see amazing results for alot of children. x > > > > > Thanks .
