Guest guest
@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@ > i have to take 25,000 IU vit A from cod liver oil every day. that's > equivalent to 6 Tbsps. of carlsons or just 2 *teaspoons* of Premiere. @@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@ that seems very bold to take that much retinol and D everyday. personally i'd rather play it on the safe side given the possibility of increased osteoporosis risk from excess retinol. i don't find the WAPF line about " 10x the fat-soluble vitamins... " very convincing; i mean, it's based on such limited data. even if traditional peoples were eating plenty of organs and stuff, i doubt it was everyday, and these foods needed to be shared among a group of people. I think Price's data need to be taken with a grain of salt. i can see high doses of retinol short-term as a treatment for some condition, but long-term consumption seems like an unnecessary risk. Suze, i thought you were in excellent health? it seems to me that many people create new health problems by extreme approaches to existing ones. witness the absurdity of so much behavior in the raw- food world, from the vegan to Aajonus Vonderplanitz approaches, with all the delusions of " detox " , etc, where people go from one extreme to another. Also, note that Krispin Sullivan recommends not getting more than 800 IU of D without testing. 2 tsp of Premier CLO is 2300 IU. maybe you really do need this much D, but maybe it is toxic? why take a risk without being sure? maybe your Ca levels are low from excess D? maybe you really need that much D, but don't need that much retinol? is this a new, short-term thing for you, or have you been doing this for a while and still have low Ca levels? personally, i feel comfortable with my 1/2 tsp of Premier CLO because it seems very unlikely I could be getting excess levels of retinol and D, while at the same time i can be confident i'm getting pretty substantial amounts and won't be anywhere close to deficient. can you summarize the evidence/arguments you have for taking this much CLO? obviously you're not the type of person to just take someone's word for it, even someone as reputable and admirable as Ron Schmid. just curious, mike parker
