Guest guest
I am so thrilled to say that I finished BFL. There are many things in my life I haven't finished, so this feels huge to me. I'm on a non- related email loop and mentioned that I had finished and people seemed very impressed. It feels wonderful to have this accomplishment recognized. My dh, the hardest to impress as he's always been in great shape, is so very proud of me. I thank everyone here who gave me me information and encouragement to keep going. , I think it was you who sent out links a while back of older women with bodies like 20yo's. That inspired me so much! We've believed a lie that we have to become feeble with age. Certainly there are diseases and disorders that can disable us, but we can be so much more than we thought! As a woman who will be an older grandmother (I have six kids and had the last one at 38), I want to have the strength and stamina to keep up with all the grandkids I hope and pray will come my way one day. I am a 41yo mother with ulcerative colitis. I have a very restricted diet as I follow the SCD (http://breakingtheviciouscycle.info ) and yet I was able to make this plan work for me. I think it can work for almost anyone! I don't feel comfortable posting swimsuit pictures online, so I'm not going to enter the challenge formally, but I did post some pictures and an essay of sorts on my blog: http://wonderwomen.typepad.com. I pray that you will all meet your goals. I will continue to keep up with this group while I keep doing BFL. If I can be of any help, please don't hesitate to ask. Blessings to you!
