Guest guest
: It would make a good name for a group, but no, it is a Japanese cooking show, where a challenger comes in against one of 3 master chefs. They are given an ingredient of the day, and each chef has to prepare dishes from that ingredient within an hour, to be judged by a panel of judges. Its run as a competition, like, say, a boxing match almost. What is interesting is to hear the comments from the judges: " Oh, what IS he adding to that broth! Look, it's a traditional salt grinder with salt from the _____ plain! " (as the contestant whips out a granite traditional Japanese salt grinder, for only the BEST flavored salt). They don't cook just Japanese though. Whenever I get a crack at the TV, I turn to the cooking channel! You can pick up a lot about " Nourishing Traditions " there! -- Heidi >hi heidi, >can u tell me about this " Iron Chef " is it a group? thanks, diana > ><(You'll see broths a lot on the Iron Chef too!).> >

Heidi gave the details but if you get Food Network you should watch. I adore Iron Chef, it's hysterical and you can actually learn a lot about food. Lynn S.
