so i spent the day and evening with our younger DS. i took him skating and although i did not skate with him (i dont own ice skates at the moment), i got lucky in that one of his school friends was there and he skated with that kid most of the time.

I remember my oldest having the school skating parties (15+ years ago). All the other parents would be out there skating and having a good ole time and I'd be the snooty one sitting down looking super uptight. Funny how I can look back on that now and see how stupid I looked just sitting there. If ever has any skating parties I'm joining in. :))))

That's great that you got some one on one time with your DS.

Don't worry about the bad eating ... we all do it, but the nice thing is you can pick yourself back up and start again, so no harm done.

You eat lower calorie for 3 - 5 days, and then for a day or two eat higher calories.

Interesting, I do that all the time. I eat super well through the week and Sat & Sun I eat horrible (candy, cookies, you name it). I don't know if thats so good though lol

You're such a great mom Carolyn! I'm glad you were able to take ds to do something!! I have had guilt lately about not doing enough with my boys. They get to " go places " frequently, but I don't get on the floor and play with them much anymore. My new theory is if I am taking a rest day from exercise then I am on the floor at least once during that day and playing with them. That will make me feel better about my rest day at least :)

Anyway, I hear you on the food as well. I am into a chapter in my course on weight loss, and they say the best way to do it is to zigzag your calories. You eat lower calorie for 3 - 5 days, and then for a day or two eat higher calories. It resets your basal metabolic rate so your body continues to burn at a decent rate and doesn't adjust itself to burn less since eating less. I am going to give it a shot, and see if it does anything for me. I'd also really like to track my food. I know already I get too many carbs and not enough protein or fat.... I'm just not much for protein, and fat is not so bad to stay away from...carbs though...UGH.. I love them! ;)

DS does want me to get on skates with him though and im just

working up enough courage to do it ::blush::

after that, we hit the library and the variety store for treats

and came home to do the housework (he helped me with the

recycling, yay!). then we watched survivor and celebrity

apprentice together... how nice!

so... it is back at it tomorrow. i MUST MUST eat better... i

hate un-doing my workouts with lousy food :(

also, id really like a nice walk in the morning then want to do

gin miller's simply circuit in the evening. i have a much needed

hair appt tomorrow afternoon which im looking forward to as well.

LOL, that's how I've been lately too... It drives me batty. I have even been into the candy which normally I don't give a second thought to. Oh well, I've been back on track for a few days now again. Hope it lasts this time!
