Guest guest
I see the other horn of your dilemma (what WILL be troublesome being hard to know)... that is frustrating. Perhaps the chiro could offer some advice?? PT: I did the fitness eval in the first place to primarily see where I was at and what I had to work on and to get advice regarding how to make improvements and take myself to another level altogether, planning to do that on my own. I did get all that so in the most basic sense it was "enough." I want more now, of course, but it will be so much more fun when we're in a good place for it that I know I can wait. I just wish I could have this attitude so easily when it comes to food! ;-) (who is tired and stressed today thanks to DS's being a pain and eating because of it all instead of making better choices!) Will your back ever be "normal"? What is the current prognosis? __________________________________________________
Guest guest
Hi , Yes, that is my dilemma - the chiro is not a big fan of aerobic classes in general - don't know if that is a personal bias or if there is some rationale behind it For cardio he prefers "machine" cardio - like TM, elliptical, bike, etc. He told me not to do step or kickboxing b/c of the potential for uncontrolled movement. I don't really intend to give up those forms of exercise - I think I just need to be smart with my choices of workouts and attention to form. Some step, hi/lo and kickboxing may be out of the question, but i think I need to work through what I have and see what works. For me, when he mentioned "uncontrolled" movements the first thought that popped into my head as "Amy Bento's Hi/Lo!" So those may be good ones for me to toss - I hear you on the eating, happens to the best of us! Guest guest
Thanks Darcy! I always found it helpful when my leader, when I was losing weight, admitted her own weaknesses to us too. Guest guest
Thanks Donna! That's an excellent tip too, not having the binge foods available. For me, that definitely slows me down even if it doesn't stop me entirely!
