Guest guest
Hi I am sorry that your son is in pain.Sophie sometimes gets earache and I have used those ear candles a few times and they do seem to help you can get them in most health food type shops, can be called Hopi Ear Candles. I know it sounds daft but they have helped Soph in the past. Also steaming has helped too although as your son seems to be getting some relief from cold I don't know if it would help but it might as sometimes earache can be caused by the eustachian tubes getting full of gunk and getting inflamed and a steam can loosen up the gunk and release the pressure and so help the pain.Sorry I am rambling a bit hope at least a bit of this helps. Let us know how gets on best from em x > > Noticed has a very red ear,he is resting it on cold surfaces. > He hasn't had any foods he can't tolerate. > Quite tearful today, as his hair is now very long and has been covering > his ears for yrs I'm wondering if this has been coming and going for a > while. > He used to have constant ear infections before we removed milk yrs ago. > Also wondering if his love of all things noisy, loud music, planes etc > may indicate a problem with his hearing. > Where can I get his ears looked at properly, the usual ear tests come > back normal and hospital doctors, dentist and eye specialists always > throw in the towel once he starts kicking them or destroying expensive > equipment. > Is there anything to treat ear infections other than antibiotics as > that is how we got into the dreadful gut mess in the first place. > TIA > Vicky >
Guest guest
Hi Vicky, Garlic and mullein oil ear drops worked absolute miracles on my daughter, who suffered horrible ear infections. I just googled and couldn't find them in the UK though (I used Eclectic Kids brand). Some people make their own as finding organic garlic to use (fresh is important) to sit in the oil is easy enough to do. I know people who use them every day to avoid the infections entirely, at least until the body can sort that out on its own. Guest guest
Hi Anita, Sorry to bump in here but it might help Anita as well, I bought the mullein oil over Nutricentre but it doesn't have garlic in it. Can you buy it with garlic already in it then? Could I just put garlic in the bottle or should I decant it to something else? Guest guest
Hi Darla, I do believe that the garlic is an important part. Ear infections can be bacterial, viral, or even fungal. Garlic works against all three. So, my choice would be to put fresh garlic into the mullein oil and let it sit for a few days before removing it. However, I'm thinking also that one could just use a garlic capsule and empty it into the mullein oil. As you can see, I'm not sure what would be best. I do know that lots of people actually put the fresh garlic, wrapped in a tissue, into their kids' ears (not plugged too far in, of course) and I think that the fresh garlic would have the strongest killing properties. It is quite easy to get the garlic and mullein drops there, if someone could ship it to you. I do believe though that the diy stuff would work just as well.
