Guest guest Posted June 18, 2006 Report Share Posted June 18, 2006 Hi everyone, I went to see a new neurologist that was actually very knowledgeable about CMT. He mentioned that my hips are extremely weak and wants me to get new braces. Are there braces for hips? I can't figure out how regular AFOs, that I wear now, can support weak hips, so there must be something out there. He also encouraged me to use the wheelchair whenever I go out and will be walking alot. Anyways, if anyone knows about other types of bracing for hip support please let me know.
