Ouch!!! Guess you will be pretty limited to walking.

Keep up with the food. I'm sure your fitness will help with your recovery.

Ouch mon! Well, you just made me feel better. I just tweaked my SI joint

deadlifting and I¹m pissed as can be, but at least I know it¹ll calm down.

Nothing¹s broke. Was it as bad as it sounds...the going off the bridge

part. Broken shoulder sounds screaming painful, I know how much a broken

hand hurts. Yikes.

it's certainly the most painful thing I've ever experienced -

including childbirth. But it still surprised me to hear it was a

break. That's denial for you!

Nothing too exciting, just my own stupidity. Where I live, we have

tons of dirt biking/hiking trails. In some areas, there are narrow

bendy wood bridges to get over streams. I normally walk my bike on

them, because it's hard to make the turns and the wood is slick, but

this time I convinced myself I could make it, cut a corner wrong, and

went straight over the side. Thank goodness there were 2 good

samaritan joggers nearby who were able to help me out of the muck,

walk me and the bike back to the main road, and flag down a biker with

a cell phone so I could call my husband to take me to the hospital.

In the future I will:

1. get off the darn bike!

2. always carry a cellphone

3. find a way to similarly help someone in need

Ouch, indeed.

I resisted getting a cell phone for several years. Once I started road

biking a lot, though, and often by myself, I took the plunge. I've

also been caught out on my bike in a " sugar low " and was barely able

to make it back home. A $20 has been tucked in my under-the-seat bag

for probably 5 years now (in case of hunger, break $20).
