I think it's BS.

If artificial sweeteners did the same thing to insulin as sugar, how

come diabetics are able to drink it?

As far as how it affects satiety, that's very, very subjective. You

could probably manipulate a study to get whatever answers you want.

Personally, I don't drink anything carbonated because it makes me feel

full and bloated for hours.

Is diet soda good for you? No. Will it " cause you to gain weight? " No.

I've said it before and I'll say it again... :-) If diet soda caused weight

gain, I would be the size of a Home Depot.

At the height of my diet soda consumption (and BTW, at my leanest) I was

drinking about 2 liters plus 3 cans a day of the stuff. I've given it up

because I got sick of the carbonation and the grocery cart full of heavy 2

liters and cases of cans. It never had any impact on weight or fat loss

efforts though.
