Guest guest
I think it's BS. If artificial sweeteners did the same thing to insulin as sugar, how come diabetics are able to drink it? As far as how it affects satiety, that's very, very subjective. You could probably manipulate a study to get whatever answers you want. Personally, I don't drink anything carbonated because it makes me feel full and bloated for hours. Is diet soda good for you? No. Will it " cause you to gain weight? " No. Naomi ****** > > Hi All, > > I found this article and wanted to know your opinion of it? > > Diet Coke is a Joke > By Shane Ellison (Master's degree in organic chemistry) > > Countless numbers of dieters consume Diet Coke thinking that it is > inert to their diet efforts. Guest guest
I've said it before and I'll say it again... :-) If diet soda caused weight gain, I would be the size of a Home Depot. At the height of my diet soda consumption (and BTW, at my leanest) I was drinking about 2 liters plus 3 cans a day of the stuff. I've given it up because I got sick of the carbonation and the grocery cart full of heavy 2 liters and cases of cans. It never had any impact on weight or fat loss efforts though. > Hi All, > > I found this article and wanted to know your opinion of it? > > Diet Coke is a Joke > By Shane Ellison (Master's degree in organic chemistry) > > Countless numbers of dieters consume Diet Coke thinking that it is > inert to their diet efforts.
