Guest guest
OK. So I'll offer a comment that does not involve discussion about the merits of anyone's comments about this posting. As we approach the November elections, each of us will have reactions and feelings and impulses to share our thoughts about candidates and issues. All well meaning, of course. So I get that. That said, I would like to propose that we declare this listserve a POLITICS-FREE-ZONE and use this forum to keep our eye on unifying our profession, asking for and sharing professional, medical, legal, and practice building advice and views that will help each of us to become better doctors of Chiropractic.I don't know about y'all, but there will be more than enough ads and spins and talking heads on TV and radio without turning our listserve into another delivery system for individual political/religious 'points of view'.The old saying that you can 'talk about anything, but avoid religion and politics' rang my bell upon reading this posting and the subsequent reactions. So what do you think? Politics-Free-Zone, at least until the end of the year?? PLEEEASE????Thank you for your consideration of this sincere proposal.Ann , DC (sans political party or religious affiliations)To: " Sears" Cc: "oregondcs DC'S" <oregondcs >Sent: Thursday, July 26, 2012 9:55:56 AMSubject: RE: FW: OT...OT...OT....A Walk for the President The President stated “America is not a Christian nation†and I strongly disagree….yes he then went on to refer to other religions (freedom to worship) which I equally and strongly support and religious freedoms which our Christian founding fathers believed to be extremely key is partly what makes our country great. ----- Vern Saboe, Jr, DC., DACAN., FICC., DABFP., FACO. 915 19th Ave SE Albany, OR 97322 phone: e-mail: vern@... website: www.drvernsaboe.com From: Sears Sent: Thursday, July 26, 2012 9:01 AM To: Dr. Vern Saboe Cc: 'oregondcs DC'S' Subject: Re: FW: OT...OT...OT....A Walk for the President The President makes the same point, that from the many, one America with unity in diversity evolves. Guest guest
It’s always been the policy of the listserve to put anything on it that you wish as long as it’s labeled “OT”. I know that it’s possible to develop tired finger syndrome from deleting messages without reading them but with proper care and training, it can be accomplished. I am however offended by the number of comments requesting surgeons. Being a non-surgical profession, it should be disallowed. HAHA. Just kidding. -- E. Abrahamson, D.C. Guest guest
I for one enjoy reading these OT posts, especially ones marked OT .. OT .. OT like this one was. I don't always agree with the person who posted; I do enjoy getting a good laugh and conversing with colleagues once in a while about things that are not chiropractic related. As long as the posts are civil, professional and marked " OT " , I don't see the harm in lightening up a person's day. Hi Ann, Your feelings are well understood ....
