Guest guest
Oh yes, months from now, you'll be glad you did it. The surgeon may be only referring to upper body weight training. Ask specifically if legwork is OK after 6 weeks. Have you had a few other surgeries in your adult life? I highly recommend going into surgery with an empty large intestine After that, lean on a daily cup of prune juice. All the medication can be SHOCKINGLY constipating. I suggest doing whatever you can to avoid that. Best Wishes, M. > > Thank you! I won't be able to use a straw for a few weeks but I get the idea smiles. The hard part will be staying away from weights but it will be worth it in the end!
Guest guest
Hi again! The surgeon is cautious on any weight lifting that may cause me to clench my teeth. I will be growing new bone and him so I have to be really careful. I admit I hance been eating very poorly for almost a week now and feel like crap. I feel like a prisoner on death row and getting ready to eat final meals for a while lol. Bad I know! I was told I could experience 10 pounds of weight loss the first week since I won't be eating much. I will definitely get some prune juice! Thanks for the help! Guest guest
The anesthesia is constipating? I'm having a D & C in a couple of weeks and expect the anesthesia will be the worst part of it. > Oh yes, months from now, you'll be glad you did it. > > The surgeon may be only referring to upper body weight training. > Ask specifically if legwork is OK after 6 weeks. > > Have you had a few other surgeries in your adult life? > I highly recommend going into surgery with an empty large intestine > After that, lean on a daily cup of prune juice. Guest guest
Kimmy, You have got to keep your protein intake up. When I was going through my medical ordeal, I barely ate and I lost massive amounts of lean mass. Be careful what you do consume, because it's not helpful to drink milkshakes or icky nasty Ensure as I was told to do. Too many useless carbs, not enough quality protein. But you probably know that. Sounds like it will be totally worth it though. Good luck! bth kimmy.beck@... wrote: Hi again! The surgeon is cautious on any weight lifting that may cause me to clench my teeth. Guest guest
I like the EAS protein, mainly because it comes from SAMS in a really big bag and its easy to mix for smoothies. Here is a link to mens health and some shake ideas that will help you with nutrition. I'd eat (drink) as clean as possible during this time so your body is nutrinally ready for you to hit it when you get the ok from your md. http://www.menshealth.com/cda/article.do?site=MensHealth & channel=fitness & categor\ y=food.for.fitness & conitem=f94a99edbbbd201099edbbbd2010cfe793cd____ On Thu, May 29, 2008 at 4:02 PM, beth Dimopoulos wrote: > Kimmy, > You have got to keep your protein intake up.
