Guest guest
I'm trying to get rid of excess videotapes before they take over our apartment, so I decided to use old VCR tapes I'd forgotten I'd had this week before I decide whether to keep or toss them. Today, it was Zumba Rapido (15 minute cardio) and Sansome Firm Up Fast. Zumba Rapido was part of the first Zumba set. Beto is by himself with a live percussion section. I prefer the other tapes in the set, which have other people and Giselle Escobar cueing the moves. I don't really break a sweat on this anymore. But bottom line on this--I love the music and it makes me feel good, like when I'm dancing for real. So I'm keeping this for the time being. Maybe when I buy the next Zumba set, I'll toss this, though. Firm Up Fast is very old--I believe I got this in 98 or 99. I didn't do it all that much back then and had forgotten all about it. This one surprised me. I'm used to goofy , and most of her DVDs lately that had resistance training exercises seemed pretty light and sort of gimmicky. Not on this tape! It's a very no-nonsense , and I could really feel that I was exercising. I'd say this is a solidly intermediate workout. Very basic moves, but all on a two count and the sets seemed to go on forever--with pulses. She's with 6 other ladies--two demonstrate the exercises without weights, one demonstrates the exercises with a resistance band, and one other lady with 3 lb weights, and one women with 5 lb weights. I used 5 lb weights. The only thing I would change is that for the most part, she only did one set of each exercise. Next time I use it, I'm going to rewind the tape so I'm doing two sets. But just doing one set of the upper body exercises, I still fe el it. This I'm definitely keeping. Let's see if my good luck continues tomorrow!
