New Members needs help

Hi everyone. I am new to BFL as well. I am on Day 3 and have dropped 2

lbs already. I am sure it is just water weight. :-) I am a little

concerned I am making my " portions " too small. By the time dinner rolls

around I am so hungry that I feel weak to the point of feeling like I

am going to pass out. The book said a portion is the size of your

palm. So for lunch yesterday I ate a piece of chicken, palm size, brown

rice what I thought was palm size and a handful of salad. I had my

snack at 3pm but by the time 6:30 came around I was so weak and shakey.

I had to buy nuts at the store to make me feel better. I was looking at

recipes for lunch and a 2 serving rice recipe calls for 2 cups of

cooked rice. Did I not eat enough rice yesterday? Should I be eating a

cup of it to make a portion? I only eat a half pita bread with eggs

for breakfast.

Any help and suggestions would be appreciated. Thank you so much.
