Guest guest
Hi Sherry, and all, I neglected to mention in my former post that we hear at learned of two important research projects before actual publication was made. Sometimes news is sent to me from Reuters, or from AAN, or from friends in different parts of the USA and the world. This is how we first learned when Dr. Sahenk presented her NT-3 results at a neurology meeting in San Francisco. It was MUCH later that those results were published in a journal. This is also how we heard of the 2004 French trials of Ascorbic Acid (Vitamin C for CMT 1A). And other friends of mine in Germany sent me news of the onapristone research and also myostatin. I'm sorry I left this out in my earlier post. I've had CMT since childhood, and the e-age has allowed me to watch research news, connect with others and find out what's happening. It all gives me great hope and I believe in passing that on. In 1962 when I was diagnosed, let me just say " hope " wasn't offered in the " CMT package " . ~ Gretchen
