Guest guest Posted April 22, 2006 Report Share Posted April 22, 2006 Gretchen, I read the info on the NIHDS site It says, " Although in rare cases patients may have respiratory muscle weakness, CMT is not considered a fatal disease and people with most forms of CMT have a normal life expectancy. " I guess that stings a little because CMT was fatal to my sister, and most likely me. I wonder if it is rally as rare as they think it is to have respiratory issues. Maybe it is rare...I hope so!
