Gretchen,

I read the info on the NIHDS site It says, " Although in rare cases patients may

have respiratory muscle weakness, CMT is not considered a fatal disease and

people with most forms of CMT have a normal life expectancy. "

I guess that stings a little because CMT was fatal to my sister, and most likely

me. I wonder if it is rally as rare as they think it is to have respiratory

issues. Maybe it is rare...I hope so! It just seems more research would be

done it they knew it is fatal to more than just a few.
