Hello Kay,

I have HNPP and also have diaphragm (Phrenic Nerve) involvement. It leads to

dizzy spells when breathing lightly as the CO2 builds up. Dr. Shy is adamant

about effects on peripheral nerves only, but I see overwhelming inputs on this

problem.

I tried a C-pap once and I didn't have enough push to exhale over the constant

pressure at the lowest setting. The Bi-pap helps with this problem by knocking

down the pressure on exhale.

Is it noisy? I am not overweight and don't have a upper throat problem.

Several other causes have been looked at but do not show deficiencies

strong enough to be the problem. So, for my money it's the HNPP!
