Gretchen:

I love your 'Just for Today' post...it's not just relevant for those with CMT,

or supporting those with CMT but also everyone with challenges in life.

Last week the neurologist noted that Gavin probably has Roussy-Levy syndrome,

basically CMT 1A with a hand tremor. While initially I was saddened, really we

can absorb it, it's still CMT, just a bit different. He had a high fever with

flu yesterday and his hands were shaking so hard he could hardly hold a cup. He

also seems shaky when he first gets up in the morning.

On the funny side, he asked me last week if he forgets to do what he's asked

because of his CMT -lol- Nope that's just being a normal 6 year old, I told

him!

Thanks again

Sally

Dear Joana,

Just a note to say I'm sorry that you feel so rotten right now.

I also live in the UK and the last couple of years I've really

enjoyed reading your messages (and Donna from London's too) I

remember how bright and bubbly you were before you went to South

America and hate hearing that you're down.

Although (allegedly) I have a different type of CMT (2) I seem to go

through cycles of having good times and then some really bad times

and its all linked to how physically well I feel and how much able I

am to manage and get around.

I just want to say hang in there - the good times will come round

again, even if they may seem to take their time about it.

Take care

Dear Joana,

I'm sorry to hear your not feeling so well. It seems so hard to get out of bed

when you hurt so much, and not sleeping tops it off. I too don't sleep at

night, but I did get something from my doctor that really helps. I know with

your outlook that things will turn around for you real soon. Try to keep that

positive outlook and I know you have alot of friends praying for you also.

Regards,

Kathy in MN

Hi Joana,

I hope you are feeling better today. Please do not worry about not posting.

When you feel better you can always post then. Some days are just harder then

others and before you know it you will have a really good day and that will

make up for the bad days.

Dear Kathy,

Thank you so much for your email...So kind!!! Sorry to hear that you are not

100% too. What are you taking to help you sleep?

Are you doing exercises? Tell me more about you...I just started to take

Rhodiola today...for the stress and anxiety, etc...

I went to see my chiropractor this afternoon and he told me that my

nerves around the pelvic area are too weak too unfortunatelly. I will see an

orthopedist on the 22nd of this month and see if something can be done regarding

the hips problems...it is really bad,and feels dislocated inside ..too hard to

walk now.

I am here trying to understand why this hips feels so bad , so sundenly Kathy?

It does affect the whole legs and the way of walking it is so weirdo. Something

is not right, but what is it then?

Well, I need to have hope now.

Katty feel free to email me here or at my other email address

jponsara@... ... the way you do prefer ok? I am always here and I really

hope things will improve for you too.

Best wishes

Joana in London

Ps: Where are you in USA? When I will feel much better I will visit my family in

Albuquerque ...lol

Hi ,

Thanks a lot for your posting. Part of the reason I am not well it is to do with

CMT and my hips??? I can tell you how difficulty has been for the last

year...and nobody yet could explained the reason why is like that . That is

what is more hard to take it...to come to an understanding. Yes, I will post

more in the future. I would love to say Thanks a Lot to you !

Take Care
