Hi ,

My state pays for rehabilitation including education. You should

check if yours will help pay the expenses of your training to become a

translator.

Hello,

I do not have CMT myself, however my 8 year old daughter does. We do not know

many other people with CMT and I am very interested in talking with others

affected by the disease. The people we do know are not as affected as my

daughter, she wears AFOs on both of her legs and her hands are also affected.

Although she can walk some without her AFOs she would likely need a wheel chair

with out them. With them she does very well.

We do range of motion excersises every night for her ankles and toes (she can't

move them at all), nightly sit ups to maintain her core strenght and I just

started her on essential fatty acids, vitamin E, and vitamin C a couple weeks

ago. So far I haven't seen any improvement with the vitamin C (maybe I'm not

giving her enough?).

I would like to talk with someone who has had good sucess with vitamin C and I

was wondering if anyone knows how much is okay for an 8 year old. I know about

bowel tolerance but I feel bad taking her to that point because she is so young.

I am open to any suggestions that have worked for others. Thank you so much.
