Guest guest
, Our main reason for placing my 3 year old (2 years at the time)in DAFOS was for knee hyperextention and to prevent the pain and further deterioration of his knees that it sounds like your husband is experiencing. Although he did trip over his toes and fall alot, we didn't place him in braces until the knee problem became apparent. This was the first and only recomendation for us made be his neurologist, PT, and physical medicine rehab doc. I don't know anything about the Blizt brace. My sons DAFOs are hinged and have a 5 degree angle to prevent the hyperextension and they do their job.
Guest guest
, I started having trouble with pain from my knees hyper extending and i went to the local drug store and bought ace knee braces....they are made out of a stretchy material and have two metal spring things on easch side running up the side of the brace.....they are like 15 bucks a piece and are made by a company called ace....they really help my knees 100 %...it would be worth a try to see if they work for ur husband..if they dont then throw em away....hope this helps..it did for me.. I should mention that I wear rigid AFOs and the knee braces on both knees. Jimmy
