Guest guest
J Neurol Neurosurg Psychiatry. 2006 Mar 30 Clinimetric properties of a walking scale in peripheral neuropathy. Graham RC, RA. Division of Applied Biomedical Sciences, King's College London, United Kingdom. Many people with peripheral neuropathies have difficulty walking, but walking ability is not comprehensively measured by commonly used outcome measures. We investigated the clinimetric properties of the 12 item multiple sclerosis walking scale (Walk-12) in 65 patients with peripheral neuropathies. It had excellent internal consistency, reliability, and correlated strongly with measures of physical and social function (r>0.8). It is therefore recommended for measuring walking ability in peripheral neuropathies.
