Guest guest
Just noticed that Dilantin is on the 'not recommended for CMT' list. My mother who is 80 years old and has CMT 1A has been taking Dilantin to control unknown seizures that she had over a year ago. Her neurologist says she has to remain on Dilantin for the rest of her life because they don't know what caused her seizures. She's been getting progressively weaker over the past year and now I'm wondering if it isn't due to the Dilantin/CMT interaction. Does anyone know specifically why Dilantin is on the not-recommended list?
