Guest guest
My name is and CMT is inherited on my mother's side of the family so naturally I was born with it. I've not known any other way to live. I am married with 2 children. My oldest son (18) has CMT but my younger son (16) does not. I work full time and enjoy being as productive as I can but needless to say, I enjoy my down time too. I've been very blessed in my life by having a wonderful family that I'm very close with. I guess it helps that my family (sister, mother, grandmother) all have CMT so they can empathize with me if I'm feeling down but to tell you the truth, we hardly ever talk about it unless something significant is happening or I took a bad fall, etc. We just tend not to dwell on it. (Why cry over spilt milk?) What's done is done. Lately though, I've been wondering and thinking about other's with this same neuropathy and how well they deal with it, what information is out there, reading about other's struggles, successes, and maybe offering advice (if I have any). I don't know what else to say about myself except to say that I've never met anyone outside of my own family with CMT so I'm glad that " " is available. -Jenn
