Guest guest
Well guys, today is the first day of my medical leave. I've been in a flare for the past 3 weeks now (although I've never been pain free since getting Still's 2 years ago). It's just been excruciating lately. So everyone, boss included, think I need to take 2 or 3 weeks off to heal, reduce my prednisone and start Rituxan. I know it's the right thing to do for me...but why do I feel so guilty? I feel like I'm letting my work down and my husband down. And yet, I know that i haven't been giving it everything I'm capable of giving when I'm at work. My mind isn't clear, I wear out way to easily...so I up my pred and my mind is even worse. The hard part will be to truly relax and get well...without vegitating. I'm really good at being lazy if I want to. lol I think it would be good if I can start a swimming pool exercise habit during this time...maybe build up some endurance. Any other suggestions for making the most out of this time off to get well? in TX
Guest guest
Dear , I recommend some candle, music filled bubble baths if you need some help get some, some cartoons and music. Do some reading if you enjoy it and some time outdoors in the early morning or coffee in bed. Evenings on the front porch maybe with a loved one. Just whatever your heart fancies is what is in order. And it should be quilt free because if you spend all your time quality you may as well go back to work. You will have spent your time for nothing. Please enjoy what you can and be good to yourself. When was the last time you were given permission to do so? Lots of love, _____ Well guys, today is the first day of my medical leave.
