speaking event this day

today even though had of all the issues to my medical and lack of

sleep did be to do well in my speaking this day. I to had to present

my define me, presentation from 8-10 and then from 1:30- 3:30 I to

presented my how to bait the hook. Each session had of all the seats

filled and much sitting on the floor to find of space of to hear of

the presentation. this was of encouraging to me. The most of the

audience was of OT and PT like persons and so it was of more for a

professional teaching time. some were of parents. But over all I to

think I to spoke to around 200 or so peoples this day. the conference

itself was of calming and not overloading.

now I to be of finishing of a new power point for tomorrow as

speaking at the The Ohio State Univeristy for students and parents

again. the presentation focus is of self advocacy and this is of a

hard one for me to put into words and yet somethings I to had been to

learn over time to do because of my own childrens and for self. it

has not been of an easy journey to learn of this.

friday been of asked to speak on a panel at a local autism specific

school on sharing stories on parenting and life journeys as a person

with autism but it is of to be fo funny stories of the life of us so

it needs to be of truth of how we try to do life like others and

things seem to not work right and how we problem solve of it to make

it fit the expectations of things.

one such story is of years back around 3 years ago or so. the boys of

me did be to be to mow of the back yard after much prompts to do so

as the yard was of getting to be fo much tall grass for me. but the

boys did be to forget to put the bag on the mower to catch of the

mowed grass so because of this the grass just be to maked of rows of

mowed grass piles in the yard. I to then looked out when I to hear of

the mower stop and so looked out and seen of the mess and then shared

to the boys they need of to get up the mowed grass and to rake it up

but I to must of been to say sweep it up beause i to do that often

struggle with word retrival and so use the wrong words much so.

so then after a time I to hear of the boys outside having of words

and so felt they were of working to get of ready to rake it but then

I to heared of a noise and it was of familar but not and so just

ignored of it because it did not register and then after a time it

did and I to looked outside and here my boys had taken of the sweeper

from the house of us and was of vaccuming the lawn with the sweeper

LOL. they literally were of responding to what they understood. now

to others the logic would be to have teached them something was of

not common sense of this but for spectrum it may not reach that sort

of logic for us always. I to so much wish the TV people who are of

seeking of me now would be to have wanted of to do the story back

then to have catched this one on TV of the literal interpretations of

things for us. I to asked of my son in law what he thinks of the

family and he shared " well mom it is of sort of like the brady

bunch and the adams family mixed. I to think he is of right and we

both had of much giggles over this thinking/ One has to learn to

laugh at teh odd ways of selves or one can get of severely depressed

over the challenges all teh time.
