A VERY BIG THANKS to each of you for your responses....mold is

synonomous with " cancer " in the way it devastates our lives...but I'm

perfplexed in that my FP , GI,ENT docs don't know WHAT my problems are

caused by, and all the blood work is negative, with exception of an er

visit demanding throat culture(which showed yeast growth and mild-

moderate levels g pos and g neg strains....my ENT said ALL that was

normal...we have those good/bad bugs in mouth/throat all time. My FP

said he sees the white film(thrush) on tongue...liquid Nystatin does

no good. Throat BURNS 24/7...have appt for Endoscopy (second one in a

year) to get biopsy to see if throat/stomach cancer(Barret's Esoph.

throat). If tests come back neg there, and it's NOT acid refluc(or

bile reflux) causing throat burn, then it IS mold(and reflux doesn't

cause constant eye burning or chemical sensitivities).

My question is.....all of you who GOT a diagnosis, was it through

a " regular " MD or did you go to Naturopath? And was the doc an Infrc

Dis, Pul, or what specialty? Since docs don't know how to treat mold,

did ALL of you get treated by an Enviro doc like Shoemaker? What doc

SPECIALTY would give me a accurate diag based on symptoms and KNOW

what kind of tests to run to see what pathogen(stochy ,asperg) is the

correct one? Seems the specialist docs are limited. And why if you

know the pathogen, why won't you find the CORRECT antiviral that will

treat it(Spor vs another antyiv....seems like micro suseptibility

tests would SHOW the pathogen and what it is suscept. to it to kill it.

I am just confused on the type doc to treat this. Did ALL of you fly

out of state to certified ones to treat you...or get " lucky " with a

LOCAL doc? And....when you sent off your blood work to

outside " labs, was the (local) doc " cooperative " in letting

you " think " you were right about mold toxins and authorized you to get

blood work? Seems to me an ID(Infec Dis) doc is the one to see, but my

FP put them down to say they won't consider the mold issue. Very

confused. Thanks for help in pointing me in right direction....and

maybe I shouldn't even start treatment since I'm STILL living in the

mold " house " , IF that is what it is (and not the carpets). Would FUMES

from carpet give a mold culture plate if I got it from home depot? Or

Here is the good news, and the bad news, in the same sentence.

" IN THE FINAL ANALYSIS, YOU HAVE TO BE YOUR OWN DOCTOR "

We are living at a time where 99.9% of the medical profession thinks

we

are crazy. Therefore, they are not " wasting their time " conducting

the

type of medical research that is making progress with other medical

conditions that " non-crazy " people are suffering from. You have 3

choices.

(1) wait ten years for medical research to be done on your condition.

(2) Go to one of the 0.1% of doctors that each have their own pet

theory and " detoxification " regimen to " cure you " .

(3) Get out of the environment that is " killing " you (no

exaggeration),

and start your life all over again, somewhere else. ANYWHERE ELSE!

Some medical conditions have NO choices. Be thankful that YOU have a

choice. In my opinion, no treatment will make you feel better, while

you stay in your present environment. It's YOUR life. It's YOUR

choice.
