Guest guest
Hi - I'm about to begin my first batch of kombucha. Actually, I am growing a scoby, but got impatient and ordered one on-line. I'll still try using the one I'm growing when it's ready, but here I am, scoby in hand, ready to jump in. In the directions, I am told to use distilled apple cider vinegar for my first batch. Must it be distilled? I have some acv that has the mother - can't use that? The directions also say that I don't need to use acv next time - that I can use some of the tea from my previous batch. Does that mean I could use some from the health food store now instead of acv? Thanks! Deb
