Guest guest
, Go to the EmLab web store at: http://www.emlab.com/app/store/Store.po They have a couple of different pumps for the cassettes plus other supplies. Same for Aerotech P & K at: http://products.aerotechpk.com/ EmLab also has training at their Mold University. It's techinical so check with them first to see if that's what you really want. They are in southern California so that helps. There are many resouces that are not the fast & cheap places that " sell, sell, sell " by pandering to the fears of consumers. The ultimate cost is beyond the $ and time lost. BTW, I was talking with one of the labs today at the conference and he asked me if I frequently get higher readings from culture plates than I do from the cassettes (it is assumed to be the opposite). He then proceeded to tell me why. No one else has acknowledged this anomoly before and I was very appreciative of once again gaining more knowledge and confirmation of what I've been seeing for years of testing. Carl Grimes Healthy Habitats LLC ----- Carl, Thank you for your very informative response. I am so appreciative of your help with this. I agree with you that testing has its limitations. Air sampling by professionals in my last 3 dwellings did help guide me in making certain decisions. I think for my particular situation, learning to use these cassettes for myself is the best way to go. This is something that I knew sooner or later I would need to do and hoped that it would be later or not at all. And yes, from everything I know in microscopic evaluation, it is the quality of the lab used that will help to determine the accuracy of the slide. If I purchase the cassettes from Zefon, do you know where I could purchase the pump? Do you think that I would be able to figure out how to calibrate this on my own? I am looking into a course I could take that would help with this. I am going to run a search of this for Los Angeles and the cost, however, I need to move quickly. Allergenco has a similar product and there are a couple of others. Guest guest
Carl, would it be too lengthy to share with us why there are higher readings in culture plates? Could it be that a mold spore in culture plate could 'sporalate' and create more colonies inside the culture plate while it incubates? Something I have considered with one sample I collected once. > > , > > Go to the EmLab web store at: > http://www.emlab.com/app/store/Store.po > They have a couple of different pumps for the cassettes plus other > supplies. > > Same for Aerotech P & K at: http://products.aerotechpk.com/ >
