Guest guest Posted October 5, 2006 Report Share Posted October 5, 2006 I have two small Hunter hepa air purifiers that this apartment complex bought for me last year because of the constant construction work being done outside my window that was causing me problems. I find that I need to replace the filters when I only used the purifiers for approximately 4 months. It turns out in the booklet it says the filter has to be replaced every 3 months. The cost of the filter is $50 and the pre filter is $20, total $140 every 3 months! That sounds insane to me, but what do I know. I dont even know if its helping me. All I know is since the windows have been shut my head & face pain is worse. I do suspect mold but in the mean time while I figure out where I will go. Do you folks think its worth replacing the filter or is there another type that you would recommend that doesnt need the filters replaced so often?
