Guest guest
I totally agree with the carpet issue. I'm in the process of trying to talk my brother out of steam cleaning his carpet but he doesn't want to hear it. Says he is going to do it himself and the water will be sucked back up and out!!! Knowing what I know and having been through this illness I would NEVER steam clean wall to wall carpet. People just don't listen and most don't want to and just think we are all crazy and paranoid!! Just makes me want to scream! Sue -seems to me that no matter how old carpet is that if mold is in the carpet eating whatever is there it would be offgasing it. mold needs to eat and will eat on anything, it also needs moisture. you can have your indoor humidity down and still have moisture spots somewhere in your house, like the padding under carpet. I will never own another house with carpet in it.one of these days they may fiqure out just how bad carpet is, a catch all and a feast for mold and no dought plays a role in allergies.have any of you ever seen carpet being took out? even in the cleanest of homes there will be a layer of dust
