Dear Amy,

It may be worth pointing out again that different SSRIs have very

different effects on different kids. Paxil was completely non-activating for

my daughter, Luvox was gave her the worst case of ADHD/

obnoxiousness/disinhibition etc. I could EVER imagine, and Celexa doesn't

give her the hyperactivity/ restlessness thing at all, but makes her ability

to concentrate even worse. All have helped her OCD. If your daughter doesn't

settle down a bit, you might try a different OCD med.

And for what it is worth, yesterday was the best day I think my

daughter has ever had since starting school. It's day 5 on Adderall, and she

did all her school work, homework and studied for tests without any problems

at all - the work is neat, correct and she enjoyed doing it. AND she was in a

great mood all day. WOW. I'm dying to see how today goes.

Good luck with all this. Rocking the medication boat is truly the pits.
