Guest guest
I have just started using the cyclo. I package it in 1 ounce bottles and I have just been putting a few drops of FO. And each FO is a bit different so something may take just a couple of drops while other twice that much. Not sure how that works out percentage wise.....but over all it doesn't seem like much fragrance to me per bottle. And when you figure out how many drops...per bottle of FO there is.... you can do A BUNCH of 1 ounce bottle. it does make a nice spray....but it does seem to fade fast using it as a body spray....I think it lingers much longer as a linen spray, which is nice, cause so far I have not had any stains or temporary rings left using it on fabrics. I have not added any preservatives since I was told the cyclo has about a 2 year shelf life & I have been packaging in such small containers. I too have done the jojoba in roller bottles & think the scent has better staying power in that carrier for the skin. So am thinking of just labeling my cyclo product as a linen spray and be done with it. I have started my price at $3.00 a bottle as an introductory price and waiting to see how it does....so I can go up a bit if my market seems like it will pay more. That's about all I can tell you, I do like the cyclo so far -and it is easy, and have had a decent response. I think it is a nice product to have and it fluffs up the line. FAST! =) Hi all, I am curious to know who uses cyclomethicone in their mists/perfumes/body sprays? make a spray? And also, how about using them in roll-on type perfume oils?? Guest guest
, Once you try cyclo you will never WANT to look back. I use cyclo in my sprays but love jojoba oil in my roll ons. Personal preference. As far as expense, I price the roll ons at $9.50 & the 2 oz sprays at $4.50. One pays for the other!! LOL There really is a difference. The gals that like the roll ons dont mind paying more. The glass packaging looks ( & is) more expensive. This winter I plan to blend 1/2 FCO with the cyclo for a more moisturizing spray. HTH Sandy Important Question--Opinions Needed! FAST! =) Hi all, I am curious to know who uses cyclomethicone in their mists/perfumes/body sprays? I've looked at the pros and cons of using cyclomethicone (or a cyclo/IPM/dimethicone blend) vs. an emulsifier like a Polysorbate. It sure costs a lot more to use the silicone products--plus the recipes I've seen call for anywhere from 10% to a whopping 25 % of FO or EO....that's going to be pricey to make! How much better do you all think the silicone additives make a spray? And also, how about using them in roll-on type perfume oils?? I've always make a perfume oil with a carrier or either jojoba or jojoba/factionated coconut....is it better to use a base of cyclomethicone with FO/EO?? Every bath & body retail location seems to be touting dry oil products...what have you all concluded, and how are you pricing your products? Also, what about preserving a cyclomethicone based product? What would the shelf life be without a preservative? HELP...too many questions! Thanks in advance, and sorry to ramble!
