Guest guest
Hi.........yes, that's the only book I have. Never used it ! I bought it when I first thought of making soap. From what I could understand then, was that all soap HAD to be rebatched to make it nice ! Silly ! So I decided it was too much trouble and never bothered. Later, I learned to make soap the proper way LOL. Hugs, . Norma Coney book > Hello! Guest guest
Hello, Deonia! In reference to Failors' book Transparent Soaps, do you have any ideas on how to adapt her recipes to use 151 proof alcohol? Her book calls for 190 proof Everclear, but we are finding a lot of states are only legal to 151 proof.Would appreciate any thoughts on this. Sorry , i sure don't. But i remember once before making transparent soap from her book, making it with the 91% alcohol by a recipe i got off a site from Kathy s page. My comp crashed and i lost all the info i had on it, but it seems i ran across the site name on a recipe i had on paper. When I first got my comp in " 99 " I used to back everything up with paper. LOL I'm in the process of moving right now but when i get my desk things unpacked, i'll try and find it. I will also go Kathy's site and see if i can recognize it from the links there. Wish i could help more.. Deonia BTW, the transparent soap i made from the recipe i'm talking about wasn't completely transparent but it sure was a reasonable facimile.
