Sat: Walk & yoga

I was anticipating going out to a big, fancy dinner tonight so I did 's Walk Slim 4 Fast Miles to help burn off some calories from earlier in the day and boost my metabolism for later. I had a really hard time getting into it for some reason. I did it with her talking because I hadn't done this in a long time but maybe that's what the problem was! :-) I'll have to try this with just music sometime. Anyway, I pushed through and definitely did work hard but I think I could have worked harder, I just felt really off for some reason. My legs felt really tight too so when I got done, since I was in my workout space with a working VCR I put in Rodney Yee's Yoga for Energy. I did my favorite yoga sequence, Awakening, off this tape and it felt so good. It has great leg stretches and always makes me feel relaxed, stretched and peaceful when I get done and it did that today too. As it turns out, despite my planning, my son has had a fever and stomach problems off and on all day long and my in-laws, who were going to babysit, didn't want to come over with him sick (which I totally understood) so we had to cancel our dinner plans. Oh well, maybe another time but the workout was certainly not for waste in any case!
