Guest guest
Hello My name is Carol deSousa, I have lived in S. Florida since 1969, the year it snowed in Ft Lauderdale! I love many forms of creative outlets much to my husbands dismay! =) It started with writing poetry as a child and has grown to included studing natural medicine and Herbology, jewelry making, knitting, rubber stamp card making, & soap making just to name a few. I have found out years ago how sensitive I am to unnatural scents, which has returned to a front issue with me in my soap making. Most of the fragrances offered make me cough and sneeze. I have gone to using natural EO's but it is very difficult to combine them to make new scents that wonderful. I also wanted to create some soaps that are medicinal with EO's. I pulled out my Aromatherapy books looking for answers and went to the web looking for more books. I stumbled upon a person who recommended the books by Mandy Aftel on the study of perfumery, which then lead me to read some reviews on her books and someone recommended reading of " Perfume and Flavor " by Steffen Arctander and I read the review on that book by Anya McCoy. My interest piqued as I noticed she lives in Miami, not far from me, so I googled her to see if she had a website and offered classes and such and well, that is how I learned that this amazing group exsisted! My reason for wanting to join is to learn this interesting new world of perfumery to help me use it in my soap and in other bath & body products. Who knows maybe into my own line of perfume! Regards, Carol deSousa
