Guest guest
I know some people may disagree with this but I would buy those Home Depot culture plates. I can hear the sighs from here. Put one in attic, one in basement, one in bathroom or anywhere you will spend alot of time. Time it for one hour, then take them with you when you leave. You can save the money and not send them off to be analyized. Just wait several days and COUNT how many spores start to grow. By three days most common molds will start to grow. Some uncommon molds might take longer, so if nothing grows, hold on to it longer. You won't know everything but you will have some idea of how clean it is. Catching four or fewer spores in an hour is considered good air quality I've read. If you just use them this way, not send them for analysis, they will only cost you about 10.00 each. If you are serious about house, you can do other testing later. Of course don't buy it without a regular home inspector, and also an environmental consultant or testor to look at. You can do it tomorrow morning if it is too late tonight. Oh, put one culture plate so air from a/c or furnace hits it also to see what is spewing from there. --- mccallalton <mccallalton@...> wrote: > i will be spending the night in a house might > buy tonight--all > hardwoods on a slab. tile in baths. any > suggestions?
