Guest guest
I think your Dr. needs to handle this one. I'm having the opposite problem, except for the breaking out! That's been horrible for some reason. Other than that one test, your Dr. is not concerned? Annlouise wrote: Alright this is getting very frustrating - besides making weight loss really hard! I have been having periods constantly (one lasted for 2 weeks) and when I am not on aunt flo I am PMSing and craving everything (especially chocolate). My face is breaking out, still no libido to speak of, etc. Just started another one! Now I have to ask has anyone else experienced this? Is all this change messing me up? I have seen others who have had the opposite problem (I wish!) so I really don't know what to think. I had an ultrasound to check for fibroids - normal I am hypothyroid but last test was normal a few months ago and doc wont recheck until July. I was breastfeeding and hadn't started weaning when all this started. Since my body is doing this to me I have weaned to only one - two times at night. With my other kids, while BF I never had periods. I am on week 8 of my 2nd challenge but it is definately not going as well as before! Any thoughts on what to do? Guest guest
How old are you? Has endometriosis been ruled out? I'm not qualified to give you advice but thought I'd share my experience. I'd been having the same problem with the long heavy periods after the birth of my third and last child (he's now 5 and breastfed for 4 (yes 4!!) years). Periods were lasting 11-14 days. My gyn put me on birth control pills and said the bleeding was just a precursor to menopause. I am only 36. I've been on the bc pills 3 months so far and periods are manageable and predictable now. But it scares me what someone said about that only working temporarily. Personally, I disagree about my doctor's perimenopause theory. I think I have endometriosis because of some of the pains I have when my period is really heavy like that. Jen > > Alright this is getting very frustrating - besides making weight loss > really hard! Guest guest
Annlouise, I would get a second opinion from another M.D. (OB-GYN) as well as an alternative/complementary care specialist such as an herbalist or accupuncturist. A menstruation cycle change can indicate many things... http://www.wrongdiagnosis.com/sym/menstrual_irregularities.htm Seek until you find, and follow your inner intuition too.
