Hi -

Thank you for your kind words - I had no idea that I had made this much

progress either!

History (current age is 50)

Jan 2003 - Sep 2003 - low carbed from 205-170 & found out about BFL and

wanted to start

Sep 2003 - July 2005 - crazy stress and climbed to 185

July - August 2005

- life calmed down and I knew I wanted to do something but couldn't think

of what it was

- cut back on food, and went from 185-178

- a friend mentioned that she had read BFL for women

- lightbulb went off in my head and I remembered that I wanted to learn

about BFL

- began in late August 2005 at about 178, wearing size 16 jeans

1st BFL 12 weeks - dropped about 12# (3# in first 9 weeks, and balance in

last 3 weeks!)

2nd BFL 12 weeks -dropped about 11# (mostly at beginning)

3rd BFL 12 weeks - currently in C3-W10-D4 - lost about 5# so far - wearing

size 6-8-10 (depending on brand)

- I don't know bodyfat stats because I kept changing systems, but it was in

the high unhealthy range, and is now clearly in the recommended healthy range.

- My cholesterol dropped from about 185 to 135 (which is fantastic).

- I don't take measurements because I don't care and don't think I would be

consistent in how I did it

- I'm almost done with a huge project of organizing family photos, that I

expected would take me until 12/31/06

- went from not being able to wear Chico's jeans, to wearing size 1 (of

their weird sizing)

- went to visit a friend in April, took off my jacket, and she said: " we're

going bra shopping " - went from 38B to 34C and haven't had any back-aches since

That about sums it up. Feels great. Absolutely great.

I don't feel the least bit deprived - I love my food. I love eating.

I really believe the program works because of the 3-prong approach -

Nutrition + Exercise + Mental. Triangles are really strong, and I'm

convinced the only way to tackle these issues is by taking on all 3 areas.

Funny - it is hard work, but not nearly as hard as I expected. The hardest

part is being patient!

Have a good day -
