Look on your hydrogen peroxide bottle. That's what I use when my tongue

turns a different color. Only mine turns black in spots. I look like a Chow

sometimes. Hydrogen peroxide does the trick for me.

I thought Listerine had primarily alcohol?

Colgate has a product that is mainly hydrogen

peroxide, Peroxyl.

Listerine causes me mouth problems because it is

so strong it kills off too many good bacteria

too. If I have to use something that strong in

my mouth, I swish some probiotics stuff like

yogurt in my mouth afterwards.

Thank you for alerting me to this. But the Listerine I use in the new one in a

white bottle not the old stuff. Besides I take a lot of probiotics.

It could be the phenol, and menthol in listerine.

My husband uses it and my throat immediately closes up. Had to have

homeopathic drops made to mitigate the listerine and listerine strips

I can still smel,ll it...and I am not reactive to alcohol. This stuff

wakes me up in the morings from his gargling......H202 doesn't make it any

safer for me....
