Anybody Know The Answer???

Every time I walk into the apartment building where I

live, I can smell a moldy/musty odor. And every time I

walk out of my apartment and into the hallway, I can

smell the same moldy/musty odor.

But, 5 years ago, when I walked into this building for

the first time, I didn't smell any odor at all, even

though mold was present. And I know mold was present

at that time, because within a month after I moved in,

I started getting sick and sent samples to a lab to be

tested, and they came back positive.

So when people, who don't live here, ask me, how come

you didn't smell it the first or the second time you

went into the building, or on the day you moved in, I

don't know what to say.

So my question is, since I was not sensitized to mold

before moving into this building, was that the reason

I didn't smell anything?

And now that it has made me sick, is that the reason I

can smell it?

If anybody knows the answer, please let me know.
