I make excellent air fresheners using half 140-proof organic-grape

alcohol and half distillate water, with 28 drops of essence. I

particularly like clove and wintergreen for room sprays (along with

others). I find the alcohol KILLS bad smells; it doesn't just mask

them. For longer lasting, you might try scenting some fabric or paper.

Thanks Adam,

I'll look into this. The organic grape alcohol sounds amazing....unfortunately

it's

unavailable in Singapore so I'm having to rely on a regular denatured alcohol.

I've tried alcohol and water mixes but prefer the crystal clear clarity of the

alcohol rather thatn a cloudy mix.

The fragrances are great when sprayed on the sofa and cushions.

Hi ,

Nice to know you are in Singapore and this NP group.

My name is SoonLye a Singaporean interested in medicinal plants, fragrances from

plants and vibrational flower essences. I just joined Anya's NPerfumery class

and she mentioned a NP group member in Singapore. So I searched the group mails

and found your email.

I understand you are able to obtain high proof alcohol for making the perfumes.

If so I have a few questions to ask and I hope you will be able to help.

Are pure grain alcohol, example Everclear, with 160 to 190  proof available in

Singapore? If so who is the dealer or supplier?

I called a few fragrance company and they do sell ethanol with 95 - 99% pure,

but they add about 5% methanol to it to make it non consummable, or de-natured

the alcohol. Anya said that such alcohol will have a smell and therefore not

suitable for making good perfumes.

For all kinds of bottles, use for experimenting and final packing of the

perfume, there is a source here in Singapore.

For EOs , absolutes, etc. I have to order them from Aust or US.
