The insurance industry and the government are trying to force all

doctors and 'service providers' to use digital records to further

their various aims..

I think that the massive increases in the use of genetic/medical IT

that they are trying to make mandatory could be a nightmare for many

of us as it is inherently incompatible with for-profit health

insurance and healthcare (the information made available will lead to

many being denied insurance and employment - creating an underclass of

those with chronic or genetic medical conditions and their

descendents.)

Look at it this way. If its easier to effectively 'eliminate'

(marginalize) the people who have medical issues than the issues

themselves.. that is what will probably happen..

This is what happens under fascism..

Or pre-fascism - an extreme example is euthanasia of the chronically

ill.. (which happened in New Orleans during/after Hurricane Katrina,

BTW. )

(In other words, It CAN happen here..)
