By surveying about 400 mold assessment and remediation professionals, the project's principal investigator, Anu Dixit, said in a statement that the team would review existing and inconsistent guidelines for mold removal from homes and buildings. Dixit is an assistant professor of environmental and occupational health at SLU's School of Public Health. The team will use the survey responses to develop a comprehensive plan for homeowners and mold remediation experts to follow. Saint Louis University is a Jesuit, Catholic university in St. Louis.
