I would say they are going after the wrong people check the AC where they live

and work shop the list goes on Public, Wal-Mart City and County Buildings I

can't and HUD. I can't be in their parking lots it affect my eyes and Skin it's

a Toxin don't take my word Investigate.

TWO Singaporeans who had to undergo corneal transplants due to

fungal eye infections have engaged law firms in the United States

for a class action suit against contact lens solution manufacturer

Bausch & Lomb.

One of them is 43-year-old Yong Teck Meng, who had been using Bausch

& Lomb's Renu with MoistureLoc solution at the time. Mr Yong had to

have a corneal transplant last October as a result of severe damage

in his left eye, caused by the fusarium fungus.

The other Singaporean involved is 19-year-old Jermaine Tan who

underwent the transplant in January this year. The full-time

national serviceman has only recovered about 60 per cent of the

sight in his left eye, despite the transplant.

The law firms of de la O, Marko, Magolnick & Leyton and &

Waichman, are representing both.

Said a partner from de la O, Marko, Magolnick & Leyton, Mr

Magolnick: " According to Jermaine's doctors, the fusarium fungus had

almost eaten all the way through the cornea. One more day and it

could have been too late. If Jermaine had not been treated in time,

doctors would have had to remove his entire eye. "

A public alert was sent out by the Ministry of Health in February

this year after Singapore ophthalmologists noticed an unusual

increase in the surge of fungal infections of the eye caused by the

fusarium fungus. Almost all contact lens wearers involved had used

ReNu multipurpose contact lens solution.

By February, three patients needed corneal transplants.

In May, the manufacturer issued a worldwide recall of the solution.

In the same month, Bausch & Lomb said that the formulation of its

ReNu MoistureLoc contact lens solution could have contributed to the

rise in fungal infections.

Last month, it was reported that more than a dozen lawsuits have

been filed in the US, with a reported legal liability of up to US$1

billion ($1.5 billion).

Other ReNu MoistureLoc users who suffered fungal eye infections told

can anyone tell me if this type of eye injury is basically the same

as when your exposed to it in your home. Im basically blind out of

one eye, which doctors looked at and said was cateracts, was 39 at

the time it happened and other eye is double vision. both of them got

that way during 4 months exposure in my 2nd moldy home. before this

in the first moldy home they just got a little weaker but I could

still see to read with some intermiten blurryness. there bugging me

to have sergery but Im scared because I fell it may be more than

cateracts. it just covers my pupil. some things just dont add up for

it being cateracts, only in one eye, have read that if you have

cateracts its in both eyes. and who gets it when their 39? my left

side seamed to of sufered a little more than the right in different

areas of my body, and my left side is the weaker side, think that

much more time in this death trap would have caused blindness. now, I

have read that not haveing cateracts removed can cause blindness,

dont really get what that means because I cant see nothing out of

this eye now but some colors and light and dark, everything has a

white cloud over

it.

Fusarium is the same fungus that apparently killed Haley's neighbor, Tom.

He died coughing up blood.

The trichothecenes in Fusarium are related to stachbotrys toxins and

they are *very* toxic.. even in minute quantities..

They are also very hard to detect directly in air, unless you sample

extremely high volumes of it with specialized equipment (which WE

apparently are - as we respire many, many liters of air in a day and

force it to 'spin' through tiny, wet cavities as it goes in and out of

our lungs, depositing its contents on their walls.)

Growing fungus directly on the eye is bound to be a more effective way

of delivery from the fungus's perspective than simply having it

disperse in air. I find it appalling that they did not think of this

not too unlikely 'worst case scenario' when they designed this

" Moisture Lock " technology.

not always do you have cataracts in BOTH eyes, who.... & if it were me, i'd have

the surgery. its pretty routine these days, pretty non-invasive.
