Guest guest
“My Story” It makes me sneeze, It makes ache. It makes me gasp For every breath I take. But my doctor claims It’s only a cold. And refuses to listen, When I talk about Mold. She hands me a script, And I’m sent on my way, So I can go home And cough for another day. I take my medicine Just as prescribed, But feel so lousy, I often wonder how I’ll survive. I spend the next month Almost too exhausted to move. Then return to my doctor, To let her know I have not improved. She isn’t pleased That her medicine didn’t work. And when she still won’t listen, I’m convinced she’s a jerk. But where else could I go, Or who would I see? Possibly another doctor Would be worse than she. So month after month I keep going back. Then one day, I ask for a CAT. I get the results, which are not good, And as I wait, to see what my future holds, I try to be brave, And even sometimes bold. So I’m sharing my feelings With my “family” online, Because I know you will listen And also be kind. If I hadn’t found “,” I don’t know what I would do. But with your support, I know I will make it through. “Sickbuildings” has the greatest group of people I have ever known, and “My Story” would not be complete without sending out a “Special Thank You,” to KC, Carl, and LymeAngl, for all their unconditional help, and to all the other wonderful members for the help and encouragement they have given me throughout the past year.
